Bring both beauty and practicality into your home with our handmade oak peg rail with shelf, crafted from sustainably sourced solid oak. Designed to combine classic Shaker-inspired style with modern functionality, this piece offers a versatile storage solution that works in any room.
Each custom shelf with pegs is carefully made to order, ensuring a perfect fit for your space. The backboards and shelves are 95mm/4" wide but can be made with wider sections by request.
The shelves with brackets are for heavier items, while the traditional wooden pegs provide practical hanging for coats, bags, hats, or aprons. Whether you’re styling an entryway, organising a utility room or adding character to a nursery, this shelf with peg rail blends seamlessly with both contemporary and period interiors. If you're only putting lighter items on the shelf such as picture frames, I also make them without brackets.

SIZING
As a guide, I usually leave two inches at each end, then space the pegs at 4 inch intervals.
So a 3 peg rail would be 12 inches long, 4 pegs 16 inches, 5 pegs 20 inches (multiply the number of pegs by 4 to give you the total length)
The length of the pegs are 2.8 inches (75mm) from the front face of the board, but can be made longer or shorter by request.
